Karen K (Wilson) Marchion

May 9, 1941 — January 11, 2014

After a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer and acute arthritis, Karen Kay (Wilson) Marchion passed from this world to be with our Lord on January 11, 2014.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 16, at 11:00 am at St Paul Lutheran Church.

Karen was born May 9, 1941 to Harve and E. LaVonne Wilson at Lewistown. She also lived in Cat Creek and Hobson as a child. She met Robert (Bob) Marchion and they married at Golden Hills Lutheran Church in Butte on May 27, 1961. After a couple of years in Bremerton, WA, the couple moved to Cut Bank to raise their family. Not one content to let life pass her by, Karen volunteered for many years as a den leader for the Cub Scouts and she stayed active with the Women of the Moose serving as Deputy Grand and receiving Star Recorder. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and dove into the many activities of her children. Her hobbies included playing pinochle, reading, doing crossword puzzles, supporting her children, and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.

Karen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob Marchion of Cut Bank; son, Rob and Dawn Marchion of Havre; son, Randy and Tanya Marchion of Baker; Butch (Ron) Marchion of Cut Bank; daughter, Penny and Dayne Peterson of Cut Bank ; as well as grandkids and great grandkids. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Harve and E. LaVonne; brother, Frank; and great grandson, Weston.

Even in her time of struggle and pain, she was more concerned for those around her. She was always quick with a loving smile and an infectious hearty laugh. A loving wife and adored mom, Karen will be greatly missed by all. God speed on your new journey mom, we love you.

Memorials may be made in her name to Northern Rockies Medical Center, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or Sletten Cancer Center.
