Kathleen Danielson

 Kathleen  “Kathy” Danielson passed away from complications of diabetes and kidney failure, on May 2, 2024. She was born in Conrad and grew up on the family farm north of Oilmont. She graduated from NTCHS in Sunburst in 1981, she was then employed by JR Bacon Drilling in Oilmont and lived in Cut Bank for a few years as well.Kathy moved to Walla Walla, Washington where she went to the Walla Walla Community College, getting a degree in nursing. Enjoying the company of her elders, she was employed by multiple nursing homes in Washington and northern Montana as an RN and Director of Nursing over the years, feeling the need to advocate for their care. She was employed until a major heart attack, and has spent the remaining years of her life battling with multiple health concerns.

 She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Lloyd and Patti Danielson; her brother, George; her daughter, Claire; and her stepson, Sean Esterbrook Danielson.

She is survived by her husband of many years, Ty Wilson; her son, Eric; brothers, Ted (Roberta) Danielson and Donald James (Gail)Danielson; and her sister, Mary (Myron) Frydenlund; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Sunday, June 9, at 1pm at Mountain View Cemetery in Shelby.  A reception at the Asper/Pondera Funeral Home in Conrad will follow at 2pm.
