Lamar Diane Shook, 64 of Cut Bank, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the Northern Rockies Medical Center surrounded by her family. Memorial services are 1:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, followed by a reception at the Moose Lodge. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Terry Shook of Cut Bank, daughter, Brandi (Eric) Hickey of Billings; son, Jason (Lynette) Larson of Roundup; step sons, Robert Shook of Ragland, AL and Travis (Nicole) Shook of Cut Bank; sister and dearest friend, Janelle (Rod) Podoll of Cut Bank; 10 adorable grandchildren, Michaela, Madison, Brennan Larson, Kade & Ty Hickey, Alli, Evan, Emma, Ava and Tadan Shook; nephews, Dean & Randon Podoll, Richard & Robert Dean
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Betty Dean and her brother Gary “Cub” Dean.
Lamar was born July 30, 1947 at Cut Bank, the eldest of 3 children, to Richard & Betty (Van Alstine) Dean where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1965. She married Roger Larson in 1967, and from that union they had two children, Jason & Brandi. Then on October 4, 1997 she married Terry Shook. Lamar worked for the Glacier Electric co-op for over 30 years before her retirement.
She enjoyed music, movies and spending time with her family.
Lamar will be greatly missed by many. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother.
