Larry Glen Peebler, 87, of Rudyard, Montana passed away on October 15, 2024, in the presence of family at the Chester Hospital.
Larry was born March 13, 1937 in Havre, Montana, the son of George Peebler and Anna Lambott Peebler. He was their only son, having grown up with four sisters. The family spent time between Kalispell and the family farm in Rudyard.
Larry graduated from Flathead High School in 1956, and began farming in Rudyard. He would go on to live his life as a farmer until his retirement.
Larry married Jo Ann Hamilton on September 12, 1964 in Kalispell, Montana. They were married 29 years before she lost her battle with cancer in 1994. Larry and Jo Ann loved and raised their two daughters, Jody (Peebler) Murray and Jill Peebler in Rudyard, together on the family farm.
Larry especially loved and enjoyed his extensive western movie collection and maintaining his beautiful collection of guns and western memorabilia. He spent time in his retirement participating in fast draws, western shoots, and traveling. Larry was a storyteller and loved to share the stories of his life experiences and western tales.
Larry is survived by, children Jody Peebler Murray (Jack), and Jill Peebler; grandchildren, Miranda (Jesse) Murray, and Dylan (Tana) Murray; great-grandchildren, Mathew Hilbig, Raylee Murray, and Evelyn Murray; sister, Sharon (John) Reynolds; numerous nieces and nephews; and friend, Martina (Betty) Van Lieshout.
Preceding Larry in death are wife Jo Ann Peebler; parents, George and Anna Peebler; sisters, Ruby (Duaine) Langel; Marjorie (Warren) Williams, and Betty (William) DeShazer.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 9th at 1pm, at the Rudyard Cemetery, with neighbor and friend Clay Massar officiating. Following, join us in celebrating Larry’s life and sweet tooth with desserts and coffee at the New Beginnings Lutheran Church in Rudyard.
