Linda L. Fassett, 80, of Cut Bank, MT, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, her 80th birthday. She was born on August 6, 1944, to Hiram and Charlotte Baney in Glasgow, MT, where she was one of 13 children.
Linda met the love of her life, Allen Fassett, in Glasgow. The two married on March 25, 1961, and soon after, moved to Cut Bank when Allen began working for Safeway. Their love and dedication to each other were evident in the life they built together.
Throughout her life, Linda was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to her community. She worked at the Outdoor Drive-In for John Love, Glacier County Memorial Hospital, and as a janitor at the Villager Mall. She was a remarkable cook, a passionate card player, and a lover of country music.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Charlotte; her beloved husband, Allen; their infant son, Jerald; her brothers, Stan, Herb, Herald, and Don; and her sisters, Lila Hanson, Barbara DeZort, Lillian Ellsworth, and Patsy Werner.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Fassett (Toby) of Palmer, AK, and Marvin Fassett (Kelly) of Cut Bank, MT; three grandchildren, Jackie (Andy) Davis of Rapid City, SD, Brandi (Daniel) DeLong of Missoula, MT, and Ty Fassett of Great Falls, MT; four great-grandchildren, Jordy and Colt Davis of Summerset, SD, and Asher and Micah DeLong of Missoula, MT. Linda also leaves behind her sisters, Eleanor Koepke of Cut Bank, MT, Beverly (John) Parton of Watford City, ND, and Roberta Baney of Albany, OR; her brother, Richard Baney of Watford City, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda's warmth, generosity, and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A private graveside service at Crown Hill cemetery will be held at a later date.
