Lois Lester, 94, who had lived in both Cut Bank & Shelby over the years, passed away Thursday, December 13, at the Pondera Extended Care Center in Conrad. At her request no services are planned, cremation has taken place and her ashes placed in a niche next to her husband at Hillcrest Mausoleum in Great Falls. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Lois was born November 14, 1918 at Cut Bank to Sam & Ellan (Campbell) Evans.
She married Dowlen T. Lester October 7, 1935 at Sumner, Kansas. He died March 29, 1991.
Lois works as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dowlen and a niece, Barbara Stetson.
