Born in Winder, Georgia on September 1st 1957, the 2nd of 4 children, Lori became care giver and protector of her younger brothers, Monte and Todd, born 2 and 5 years later. Meanwhile, her older brother Kim, born 3 years earlier would prove to serve as a typical big brother for the next several decades.
In 1965 their parents, Mel and Sharon Pocock divorced which would separate the children from their father and their new home became Conrad with many of their aunts, uncles and cousins as well as grandparents living near by.
Lori graduated from Conrad High School in 1975 and continued her education at Kinman Business college in Spokane, WA. Following graduation from that program Lori pursued her career in administration working for several corporations across several states including Oregon, Washington, Utah, Minnesota and Texas until she met the love of her life, Kenny Fletcher while working for the San Antonio River Authority.
Lori’s mother, Sharon Pocock was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2008 at which time Lori left her career with the River Authority and moved back to Conrad to fulfill a lifetime promise of caring for Sharon until her passing in May of 2008. Lori and Kenny were reunited in 2010, following Kenny’s retirement and subsequent move to Montana. They were Wed in 2011 and enjoyed traveling to National Parks, hiking, camping and skiing. They also loved to dress up and participate at Conrad high school proms as chaperones.
Meanwhile, Lori landed a position in Administration with Pondera Medical Center, now Logan Health Care.
In 2018, Kenny was diagnosed with cancer and Lori was yet again in the position of caregiving until his death in Feb of 2019. With a broken and lonely heart, she continued on with Logan industries until she was diagnosed with her own cancer in September, 2024 and forced into retirement due to her deteriorating health in February of this year.
Lori fought ferociously through some of the most difficult of circumstances but never lost hope because of her relationship with God and her deep faith in Him.
