Lorna Rae (Branch) Loterbauer, 64, passed away November 25, 2017 at her home in Shelby. Lorna graduated from North Toole County High School in Sunburst in 1971. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology at Eastern Washington University and pursued a Master’s Degree at the University of Montana in Missoula.
Lorna married Gale Loterbauer in Bozeman in December of 1978. They then moved to Wibaux, Montana where Gale taught industrial arts. In 1981, Gale and Lorna moved to Curlew, Washington where Gale worked for the Job Corp Center as a welding instructor and Lorna worked in sales at the PX. Lorna also worked as a firefighter for the Forest Service of Republic, WA. After Gale’s passing, Lorna moved to Shelby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ann (Meade) Pace; father-in-law, Eddie Loterbauer; sister, Beverly (Branch) Kujawa; and stepbrother, Thomas Grey.
Survivors include mother-in-law, LeEtta Loterbauer; brothers-in-law, Orvin (Cindy) Loterbauer and Steve Lotterbauer; nieces, Jesse Etters and Kristie Bice; nephews, Jan Michal Kujawa and Michael Loterbauer.
Per Lorna’s request, no services will be planned.
