Lorraine (Knutson) Hillebrand

July 15, 1928 — December 20, 2014

Lorraine I. Hillebrand, age 86, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Marias Medical Center in Shelby.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Shelby.  Lorraine will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitted Funeral Chapel.  Please visit Lorraine’s online memorial and leave a message of condolence at www.whittedfuneralchapel.com .

Lorraine was born July 15, 1928 to Martin and Nettie (Hanson) Knutson in Michigan, North Dakota. She was the youngest of 11 children.  She was married to Floyd Hillebrand on July 18, 1947 in Michigan, North Dakota.  They moved to Shelby in November of 1950.  Floyd and Lorraine had three children.  Lorraine enjoyed playing games, especially Bingo. She was a member of Shelby’s VFW Ladies Auxiliary and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her three children, Donovan “Bucky” Hillebrand of Shelby, Noreen (Tom) Anderson of Shelby, and Dennis (Tracy)  Hillebrand of Elk River, Minnesota; her sister and brother Gladys Nyberg of Great Falls and Merlin Knutson of Devils Lake, North Dakota; her 6 grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Hillebrand of Galloway, Ohio, Jamie (Kevin) Reihl of Shelby, Renee (Bill) Howell of Citrus Heights, California, Amanda Anderson of Bozeman, Nickolas Hillebrand and Jacob Hillebrand, both of Elk River, Minnesota; and five great grandchildren Isabella and Maxwell Hillebrand, and Matthew, Kimberly and Joseph Reihl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, and eight brothers and sisters.
