Lucille Lillian (Limke) Durocher was born October 28, 1923 to John and Viola Limke in Minot, North Dakota. She passed away surrounded by family and friends on July 26, 2015 of natural causes in Cut Bank, Montana.
A rosary/vigil service will be 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29 and the funeral mass will be 10:30 am on Thursday, July, 30 both at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Cut Bank. Lucille will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank.
Lucy attended grade school in Pasadena, California and graduated high school in Malta, Montana in 1941. She married C.A. “Tig” Durocher on August 27, 1942 in Chinook, Montana. They were married for 62 years before Tig’s passing in 2004. They moved to Cut Bank in 1946 and raised their family on a small family farm west of Cut Bank. Lucy worked for Glacier Electric Co-op before retiring in 1983.
The love of her family and the love of Our Lord is what sustained her life and made it full. Lucy was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Parish. She was a volunteer for Peace Hospice in the Golden Triangle. Lucy made many friends whom she cherished and loved dearly. She loved following her son’s coaching and grandchildren playing sports and supporting the Cut Bank Wolves. Lucy loved playing cards with her children, grandchildren and friends and enjoyed girl’s night out.
Lucy is survived by her children Gary (Gail) Durocher of Choteau, Montana, Mary (Dennis) Davis of Fairfield, Montana, Brad (Lauri) Durocher of Racine, Wisconsin, Joe (Lori) Durocher of Great Falls, Montana, Sue Durocher of Cut Bank and daughter-in-law Evalene Durocher of Missoula, Montana; 15 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Viola Limke; husband C.A. “Tig” Durocher; son Wayne Durocher; grandson Randall Boyer; sisters Gerry Coryell and Gladys Tavary.
