Marcel Albert Tack, 79, a lifelong Conrad/Valier area farmer who helped seed winter wheat 3 days before his death, passed away Sunday (Sept. 22 nd ) at his home on Belgian Church Road. Funeral Mass will be 12 noon Thursday (Sept. 26 th ) at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Conrad. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge arrangements.
He was born January 8, 1934 at Conrad to Maurice and Margaret (Desmet) Tack. He attended Belgian School and was raised on the family farm where he has lived his entire life. He married Mary Kay Gaffke November 7, 1964 at Bozeman.
Marcel’s work was his life, especially his cows and getting the hay in on time. He was very well known for his quality Black Angus Cows. He also enjoyed fishing, antique farm machinery and having dogs around. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Angus Assoc.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Kay Tack; daughter, Barbara Tack; son, Maurice Tack; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yvonne Widhalm.
