Susie married Eldred Stratton on August 4, 1962 and they had two children: Allen and Leah. The couple worked on the family farm north of Galata until they moved to Shelby. Susie has worked as a waitress/cook at many restaurants over the years and enjoyed visiting and teasing with everyone who would stop in.
Susie was on bowling league for many years and enjoyed going to any sporting event she could. She would do her best to follow her grandkids in whatever they had participated in. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, enjoyed watching QVC, games shows, purse shopping and just spending time with her family and friends. She loved driving around and going out for cheeseburgers at midnight.
Susie will be greatly missed!
She is survived by her children: son Allen (Lori) Stratton; daughter Leah Pehan; grandchildren Alex & Jackie Stratton, all of Shelby. Her brother Charles (Barbara) Nevin and family; special members of the family Kevin, Lanell, Trevor and Amanda Dodson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eldred; her parents; and a sister Betty Barclay.
