Margery I. Geiger

October 27, 1924 — October 6, 2016

Margery “Margie” Geiger, 91, devoted wife, mother, grandmother , and friend to so many, passed away on October 6, 2016 , at Pondera Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing .

Memorial services will be held at Valier United Methodist Church at 2 pm on Monday , October 10 th with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.

Margie was born on October 27, 1924 , in Tacoma Washington.  She grew up in Valier where she met and married her soul mate, Jim Geiger , on April 23, 1945.  They raised their 4 children on the family farm in Valier before moving to Conrad in 2015.

Her favorite times were spent enjoying her family and friends.  Margie was the heart of her home and family, no one ever went away hungry.   She was always ready for a game of pinochle or dominoes.   Margie was a special lady who was loved by so many.  She was a long time member of Valier United Methodist Church where she served on the Altar Guild for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, son, Randy (Heather) of Three Forks, and daughters, Anita (Rick) Moon of Helena, Jeanne (Ron) Moon of Conrad and Lori Durnell of Conrad.  She also leaves 10 grandchildren Chris Geiger, Katie Crafton, Brandon Moon, Lindsay Esponda, Shanea Moon, Dustin Moon, Aaron Moon, Jace Moon, Amber Brown and Brett Durnell as well as 17 great - grandchildren .

Greeting her in heaven were her parents Olga and Adolph, sister Gertie, brother, Bernard and her beloved grandson, Chad Durnell as well as many friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Valier United Methodist Church.
