Marilyn Smith, 91, of Cut Bank, Montana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, after a five day stay at Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 10, at First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. Central Ave., Cut Bank, Montana, 59427. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitted Funeral Chapel.
Marilyn was born in Waterloo, Iowa on June 25, 1924. She married her high school sweetheart Dale, in Boise, Idaho in 1945. In March of this year they celebrated 70 years of deep love and commitment to each other. With a heart devoted to God and family, Marilyn gave tirelessly of herself in raising four children, all believers in Christ. In serving others throughout her life she was a beautiful reflection of Christ's love.
She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who survive her: Husband - Dale, daughters - Sherry (Glen), of Chattanooga, TN, Dale (Gary), of Plano, TX, Melinda "Lindy" (Eli), of Stateline, NV, son - Bart (Rebecca), of Corpus Christi, TX, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
She was welcomed into heaven by her grandson who preceded her in death.
