Marlene Kay Dulmage, age 55 of Shelby, a retired school teacher, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.
Memorial service will be 10:00 am on Friday, February 12 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Shelby.
Marlene was born November 5, 1960 in Shelby where she was educated and later became an educator. She was employed by Shelby Public Schools for 21 years and volunteered at the Sagebrush Food Pantry for many years.
Marlene was known to many as: Mar, Miss Mar, Grandma mar, G-ma, and Mamma Mar. In her free time, she enjoyed indexing for the church, reading, going to the duck pond, watching the squirrels, supporting her many students in all their activities, but the most important things to her were her grandkids and family.
She is survived by her three children, Danielle (John) Devera, Oteese Dulmage, and Carter Dulmage; grandchildren Kyann and Preston Devera, Sophia Rose Moore, and Piper Star Dulmage; brothers and sisters Michael (Heidi) Alford, Michelle Schooley, Lester (Paula) Alford, and Jane (Mark) Barnes; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Glenda and Otist “Les” Alford, a brother Monty Alford, and her niece Jennifer Alford.
