Marna Lou Stratton, 68, of Shelby, passed away on October 17, 2013 at the Marias Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24 beginning at 9:00 am at the Whitted Funeral Chapel with a graveside service at 11:00 am in the Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will follow at the 1 st Baptist Church.
Marna was born August 1, 1945in Shelby to Lloyd and Verla (Kinyon) Stratton. She attended Greenhill School until the 8 th Grade. Marna lived on the family farm north of Galata with her mother until they moved to Shelby in 1999. A short time after her mother passed away, Marna moved into the Marias Care Center where she resided until the time of her passing.
Marna enjoyed reading, writing letters and visiting.
Survivors include her brother, Eldred (Susie) Stratton, nephew, Allen (Lori) Stratton and niece, Leah Pehan, great-nephew Alex Stratton and great-niece Jackie Stratton, all of Shelby; and aunt, June Eide of Galata. Both of her parents preceded her in death.
