Michael Lockwood

Michael S. Lockwood, age 59 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, May 12, at 2:00 PM at the Shelby New Life Community Church.

Mike was born July 24, 1963, in Great Falls to Clarence and Kathleen (Black) Lockwood.  He was raised by his mom after the passing of his father on April 1, 1972.  Michael has two half sisters and two half brothers on his dad’s side.

Michael enjoyed fishing as a youngster and was very adventurous.  He joined the circus when he was 17 then later in life he worked for a carnival.  He was a hard-working guy through his years.  He met Wendy Michaud while working for the carnival in 1993 and they got married on September 14, 1995, in Bullhead City, Arizona.  Before they were married, they had a beautiful daughter, Ashlee Rose.  They came to visit Shelby in January of 1996, to show off their daughter and wound up staying in Shelby.  They bought a house in 2001 and have lived in Shelby since.

Michael is survived by his wife, Wendy Lockwood; daughter Ashlee Rose (Randy) Kramer of Joliet, Montana; stepson James (Brittaney) Brooks of Idaho Falls, Idaho; stepdaughter Amber Brooks of Conrad; and his grandchildren Richard, Steven, Jayden, Luca, Landyn, Aylin, Lane, Coby, and Lilly.
