Michele Marie Oswood

Michelle Marie Oswood, 80, died peacefully with family by her side on Monday, November 25,2024. She was born in Chester on March24, 1944.

 Michele married B.J. Oswood on November 4, 1962. They were married 62 years. She attended Chester High School where she graduated in 1962. She participated in cheerleading and the school band. 

Michele was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chester and a 4-H Leader for many years. Through the years, Michele donated many gallons of blood, AB Negative. 

She loved to can and cook especially dill pickles and sugar cookies. Michele loved to attend all the sports events with sons, Brett and Bryan. She played in the family band, loved her classmates and spent a lot of time with nephews and nieces in there younger years. She worked at the Liberty County Times newspaper and a member of Weight Watchers.

Michele’s favorite scripture reading was “John 3:16, For God so loved the world He gave His only son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

 She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donise; and brother, Tom.

Survivors include her husband, B.J.; sons, Brett and Bryan; sisters, Sharon and Jackie (Randi); daughter-in-law, Tuesdee; granddaughters, Bailee Morrell, Brynn Oswood, and Breah Oswood; classmates, nieces and nephews.

 Funeral service will be Monday, December 2, at 1:00 pm at United Methodist Church in Chester.
