Mildred was born in Hingham, MT, to Fred and Minna (Aderhold) Kruse on August 3, 1920. Her family moved to Sunburst where she attended school on the Baker Lease and later Oilmont High School.
After her marriage to Joseph M. Fauque in 1938, they lived at the Ohio Oil camp where Joe was employed as a field pumper. After renting a few acres and buying some land, she and Joe established a farm, and together they farmed and raised their family of three until Joe’s death in 1970. Following his death, she continued to farm and serve as the bookkeeper in a partnership with her son Randy until her retirement in 1997. In her retirement, she loved spending time outside and took great pride in her yard, flowers, and garden.
Her hobbies included sewing, playing in a weekly bridge club, gardening, reading, and watching television.
Mildred was a kind and loving spirit who led by her religious faith and example. She served faithfully in her local church for many years. She loved her kids and grandkids, and Grandma’s house was the place to be for holidays, gatherings, or short stays while the parents were away.
Survivors include a daughter DaRae of Sunburst, her son, Larry (Maria) of Great Falls and their children Michelle (Chris) Field of Helena, Paul (Jennifer) of Missoula, Jeff (Janice) of Cut Bank, and Kim (Shawn) Balog of Milk River, Alberta; son Randy (Diane) of Sunburst and their children, Korey (Wendy) of Sunburst, Jamey (Brandi) of Columbus, OH, and Darcy (Kelly) Magalsky) of Cheney, WA. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, an infant daughter, and brothers Clarence, Alvin, Leroy and Lester.
