Ludmilla “Millie” Pester, 91, passed away at the Northern Montana Care Center on July 8,2021.
Millie was born to Edward & Agnes Rysavy on November 21, 1929 in Blooming Prairie Township, MN. She graduated from high school there in 1947 and graduated from the northwest Institute of Medical Technology in 1948. She then was employed as a medical technician in Blooming Prairie, MN.
She married Joseph A. Pester October 18, 1950 at the Holy Trinity Church in Litomysl, MN. Then moved to Rudyard, Montana where Joe farmed.
Millie worked at Sanvik Brothers as a meat cutter for many years. She was a volunteer ambulance personnel for Rudyard for 25 years.
She was a lifetime member of the Rudyard VFW auxiliary. She kept busy as a volunteer at the Havre Soup Kitchen until the spring of 2020 when her health began to fail. Millie was a tough lady as she survived COVID 19 at the care center at the age of 91. Millie loved to travel back to the CZECH Republic with her sister to visit relatives. One of Millie’s favorite pastimes was shooting gophers with her good friend and neighbor, Albert Budeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Agnes Rysavy; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Christina Pester; husband, Joseph Pester; sister, Mary Spinler; brothers, Victor Rysavy and Albert Rysavy.
She is survived by brother, Otto Rysavy; four children, Lorraine Pester of Forsyth, Rick (Glenda) Pester of Rudyard, Kraig (Karen) Pester of Great Falls, Wayne (Heather) Pester of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Due to current covid situations and per Millie’s request no funeral is planned.
