Myrtle Agnes Meyer, 98, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 1, 2025.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7, at 2:00 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Burial to follow in Sweetgrass Cemetery. All are invited to a reception at the Sweetgrass Legion Hall.
Myrtle was born on December 31, 1926 in Dunkirk, MT to Sigurd and Johanna {Meier} Lunda.
Myrtle and her family lived in Dunkirk until 1939. They then moved to Bruno, Minnesota, where
Myrtle graduated in 1944. They then moved back to Shelby, Mt. in 1945.
Myrtle married Leonard Miller in Shelby on August 18th, 1945. They lived in Toole county and North
Toole county and raised 7 sons, Sid, Alton, Larry, Harvey, Mike, Rod and Kenny along with one
daughter, Shirley.
Myrtle and Leonard got divorced on October 9th, 1975. Myrtle married Leroy Meyer in Shelby on
February 14th, 1997. They lived in Sunburst, Mt. most of their married life. They moved to Shelby in
2016.
Myrtle is survived by 3 sons, Sid (Sari Mitchell) Miller of Brookdale, CA, Harvey (Nan) Miller of Wall,
SD and Kenny Miller of Great Falls; and a daughter, Shirley Miller (Mike) Hofer of Sweetgrass;
numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; great great grandchildren, many nieces and
nephews; and her best friend, Ila Prellwitz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Albert, John, Tony, Harry, and
Eric; and her sisters, Marie Anna (still born), Dorothy and Hattie; four sons, Alton, Larry, Mike and Rod; and two grandsons, Steve Chambers and Danny Miller.
