Patrick “Pat” McLeod, 57, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away February 5, 2023 in the hospital with his daughter and brother by his side after a long battle with various diabetic complications. He was born on September 29, 1965, along with his sister, Pam, to Neil and Glenna (Berezay) McLeod, in Milk River, Alberta. The first set of twins to be born at the hospital. He grew up in Coutts, Alberta.
Pat attended Coutts Elementary School and High School at Erle Rivers in Milk River. He spent one semester at Raymond High School playing football.
Patrick served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Phoenix Arizona mission from 1985 to 1987.
Patrick worked for a couple of years in Calgary and Northern Alberta before marrying his wife of 34 years, Terry (Nielsen) McLeod in the Idaho Falls temple for time and all eternity. They were married April 15, 1989.
Patrick attended Lethbridge Community College and the University of Lethbridge graduating with a Bachelor of Management Degree specializing in accounting. He participated in a work Co-op program in Pincher Creek with Meyers, Norris, Penny for a semester and then was hired by them upon graduating as an articling accountant.
After 6 years, Arizona beckoned. He secured a job there and was off to Phoenix with his family.
Parickt loved trucking and accounting and Pat did both. Economic conditions dictated that Patrick do what he needed to at the time. The family lived in Phoenix, back to Alberta and then back to Phoenix. The family spent 25 years in Phoenix and developed many special friends and acquaintances. He was loved by all wherever he was.
Patrick loved his children and grandchildren. He always had a hug “ug” for whoever needed one. He served diligently in the Church and was always honest in his work and business dealings. We are all better people for having known Patrick.
