Randy Rideout, of Shelby, passed away August 21, 2018 at home peacefully among friends and family. He fought a good battle with his heart condition. Randy was born April 1, 1955 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Conrad to Donald B. and Dorothy (Christiaens) Rideout.
Memorial services will be Monday, August 27, at 10:00 AM at Whitted Funeral Chapel Shelby.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Annette “Annie” Rutherford Rideout;
children, Brandon (Ariel) Rideout, Kaela Rideout (Brandon Moench), and Adelyn Rideout all of Shelby; grandchildren, Caiden and Payton Moench both of Shelby, Joselyn and Linnea Rideout of Spokane, WA, and Brody Rideout of Shelby.
Randy was a very proud grandpa and spent as much time with his grandchildren as possible. They loved to help grandpa in the garden where he would let them get in the dirt and learned the difference between a weed and a plant. Randy was an expert at growing perennials and vegetables. Randy and his granddaughter loved to garden together where they would wear Tie-dye shirts to attract angels and butterflies.
He was survived by sisters, Debbie (Joe) North of Missoula, Leslie (Steve) Nelson of Valier, Anne (Clay) McAlpine of Birch Creek, and Jennifer Rideout of Chester; brothers, Maury (Linda) Rideout of Valier and Rusty Rideout of Chester; brother-in-law, Mike Durnell; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend who lived with Randy and his family, Carlos Eubanks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deanna Durnell.
