Richard D. Clark, of Shelby, passed away at the age of 79, on Friday February 12, 2021, at Great Falls Benefis Hospital after compilations from an accident.
Richard was born November 13th, 1941, to Toney and Marzella Clark.
Richard grew up on the Clark homestead farm and always loved the land. Richard often searched for dinosaur bones and arrowheads for his ever-growing collection.
After high school, Richard was drafted in the Army and was stationed in Alaska. However, he always knew his roots were on the farm and came back home.
You could often find Richard drinking coffee at local establishments while doodling buffalos and Wylie coyotes on napkins while visiting with people. He was a proud member of the American Legion and loved to play cards and puzzles at the senior center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marzella and Toney Clark and brother, Douglas Clark.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jerry (Lora) Clark of Wilmington, NC, Nancy (Dave) Sullivan of Great Falls, George Clark, Lois (Ron) Migneault, and David (Olivia) Clark all of Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
If you happen to see Richard’s spirit, please do not be alarmed. He has always been a gentle soul and he always wanted to prove the afterlife exists.
