Richard A. Moench

January 1, 1969 — April 22, 2019

Shelby

Richard Allen Moench was born January 1, 1969 to Patricia “Pat” Moench and Terrence “Terry” Moench.

Richard was very proud to be a son, brother, nephew, and uncle.  He was a hard and dedicated worker.  He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, hiking, and making jewelry.  He had many talents which were camouflaged by his weakness.

He had a tough life, fought with sobriety throughout his adult life and was very proud when he was able to maintain his sobriety.  Always trying to make his life better.  Richard wrote in his journal many times on the rights and wrongs of life.

“When I lay my head down to sleep, I always hope for today that I made a change to someone around me.  The wrongs I’ve done in my life with never make it right.  Amends are sometimes not done because of one thing or another.  Make up for whatever and be a better person.” Richard wrote.

Richard fought weaknesses his entire life and was finally released and set free.  He leaves behind two sisters, Terri Jo (Tim) Baney and her family and Tun (Josh) McCracken and her family; brother, Brandon (Kaela) Moench and his family.

Richard died April 22, 2019.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 9, at 1:00pm at Mountain View Cemetery. A reception at Tun and Josh McCracken's house, 211 9th Ave North, Shelby will follow the service.

Richard, you will be greatly missed by your friends and family
