Robert “Bob” Lincoln Hovde,89, from Conrad, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home with family by his side.
Vigil services will be held Sunday, December 3, at 7:00 PM at Pondera Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Monday, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. A luncheon at the church will follow the service. A private burial will take place after.
Bob was born on December 9, 1927 near Conrad and was raised with four brothers and three sisters on the family farm. He attended country schools and Conrad High School. After serving in the US Army, Bob returned to Conrad.
Bob married Charlotte Whitney on November 21, 1953. They had just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
Bob served on the Conrad School Board of Directors, St. Michael’s Parish and Financial Councils, and was Pondera County Commissioner from 1993-1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Hovde; sister, Anna Evers; brothers, Howard, Arthur, John, and Edward.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; sisters, Alice Adcox and Madelyn Erickson; children, Janet (David) Dart, Susan (Bob) Kovatch, Craig (Deb) Hovde, Sandra (Jim) Ehrmantrout, Brad (Tina) Hovde, Lanette (Randy) Billingsley, and Cheryl (Lee) Wagner; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bob’s life was devoted to working with cattle, farming, many friends, and his loving family.
