Gertrude Roberta DesRosier, 96, passed on Friday, November 25, 2022 of natural causes at the home of her son, Lee Peterson. She spent her last days with visits from all her children and their families.
Roberta was born in Glasgow, MT on July 8, 1926 to Robert C. and Gertrude L. (Ebersole) House. She was the oldest of nine children. Surviving siblings are Joan (Harry-dec) Shepard, Sid (Delores) House, and Alice (Gordon, dec) Terpee.
Roberta married Charles L. Peterson on August 10, 1942. She was the mother to eight children, Robert M. (Jutta) Peterson, Diana L. (Merlin, dec) Wippert, Thomas K. (dec), Wayne U. (Dianne) Peterson, Tony V. Peterson, Bailey D. (Wanda) Peterson, Lee A. (Maria) Peterson, Frank D. Peterson, and little sister, D’Arla L. Peterson is part of the extended family.
Roberta loved social events and getting together with family and friends. After retiring from the State Liquor Store, she was able to enjoy her love of quilting. Fondly remembering her grandmother sewing quilts by hand. She donated many beautiful quilts to the local Catholic church for Harvest Dinner raffles.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. Roberta was loved and will be missed by many. Her wishes were to be cremated. Her loving family intend to hold a Celebration of Life in July 2023. Date will be announced.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sharon M. House, Dorothy (John) Grisetti, Lawrence House, Dan (Alta) House, Ed (Lolli) House; and husbands, Charles L. Peterson, Clyde Robbins, and LeRoy DesRosier.
