Cut Bank

Roberta Mae Harvie-Perkins, 56, of Cut Bank, passed away on Tuesday, March 19th at Northern Rockies Medical Center.

Roberta, born February 14, 1963 to David and Allison Harvie of Cut Bank.

Roberta graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1981. Following graduation, she attended Eastern MT College in Billings and VoTech in Helena looking to find her niche in life.

Roberta, always needing to find an adventure, joined the US Navy in 1985 and never looked back. Whether it was from overseas duty at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, numerous deployments to McMurdo Station Antarctica, the heat of the Mohave Desert in Ridgecrest California, and the rain of the Pacific Northwest in Oak Harbor, WA, there was always an adventure to be found with her.

During her career in the Navy, she met and married her husband of 24 years, Kenneth J Perkins of Miles City. Together they raised their son, Noah J Perkins, the greatest adventure of all.

After a 20 year career in the Navy, in 2005 Roberta retired from the military and began looking for a new adventure. Roberta decided to move back home to Montana ahead of her husband and son, awaiting for his retirement from the Navy in 2006. She was once again searching for her niche. She worked for Holman Aviation in Great Falls for a short stint but decided she needed more. Roberta moved on to find a career with World Wide Custom Brokers in Coutts, Alberta, where she found her niche in life and worked there until her passing.

Roberta enjoyed spending her summers at Lake Five, enjoyed playing as THE OLD LADY IN THE FOREST with all the kids at the lake, many late night camp fires, playing golf, snowman dancing, playing pitch in the summer at the lake and in tournaments in Cut Bank at numerous watering holes. Roberta enjoyed everything that was fun with her many friends and extensive extended family.

Roberta was preceded in death by brother, David Harvie Jr.; maternal grandparents, John and Alberta Darragh; paternal grandparents, Jim and Mae Harvie.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Kenneth Perkins; son, Noah Perkins; parents, David and Allison Harvie; brother Andy(Karla) Harvie; sister, Cathy(Darren) Hughson; Gus(Mimi) Wildeman; nieces and nephews, Taylor Harvie, Jace Harvie, Morgan Hughson, Remington Wildeman, soon to be Tylee (Jace), Kylan(Morgan);  great nieces and nephews, Kade, Colton, Thea and Tyce.

Ken and Noah give their profound appreciation to the nursing staff at Northern Rockies Medical Center, Northern Rockies Medical Center Staff and to the numerous extended family and friends that visited.
