Ruth E. Banka

Ruth Evelyn Banka, 89, passed away Sunday morning, January 21, 2018 at the Pondera Extended Care facility in Conrad.

Ruth was born February 24, 1928 to Carl and Cecille (Havskjold) Hanson in Conrad. She married Fred Banka December 28, 1949.  They had 4 children.  Ruth graduated from Conrad High School in 1948 then worked for the mustard elevator in Conrad until she got married.  Ruth belonged to Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and Presbyterian Women’s Church group.

Survivors include husband, Fred Banka; children, Don and his children Jenifer and Jeff, Sharon (Steve) Cagle and their children Brent and Bryce, Douglas and his children Christopher and Skylar, and Janice (John); 7 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Arnold Hanson, great granddaughter Addison Cagle.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 25, at 2:00PM at First Presbyterian Church in Conrad.
