Ruth G. Curtiss
February 27, 1927 — January 6, 2018
Ruth G. Curtiss passed away Jan 6, 2018 at the Glacier Care Center. She was born to Edward and Alma Vigen on February 27, 1927 in Columbus, North Dakota. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Columbus High School in 1945. Ruth was married to Orville L. Curtiss in Portal, North Dakota in 1946. Three children were born to this union, Larry (Penny) Curtiss, Deanna (Jack) Deming and Paul Curtiss. Orville and Ruth farmed in North Dakota until 1950 when they came to Cut Bank to work in the oilfields. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, reading, crafts, and music along with participation in many church events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; her daughter, Deanna; grandson, Eric; and great grand-daughter, Jillian Murillo; brothers, Joel, Melford, Raymond, Norman and Donald; and sister, Alpha.
Survivors include her immediate children, Larry and Paul Curtiss; and son in law, Jack Deming; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Ruth also considered Orvilles sibling as her own, Lila, Edna, Maryann, Eleanor, Daniel and Earl.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 6, at 3:00 PM at Prairie Peach Lutheran Church.
