Sharon Anne Lerum passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023 in Cut Bank after a long, hard fought battle with dementia. Sharon was born June 8, 1945 to Fred (Swede) and Lillian Dangerfield of Knappen, Alberta. Upon graduation from Erle Rivers High School in Milk River, Alberta she furthered her education in Lethbridge. After working in Calgary for a few years Sharon returned home and worked at a brokerage firm in Coutts where a young farmer from Sweetgrass, Michael Lerum, caught her eye. They were married on December 14, 1973. Michael farmed and Sharon worked at Norman G. Jensen until retiring in 2011 after 25 years.
Those who knew Sharon loved her loud laugh and huge smile. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, especially her grandchildren, traveling and going to concerts. Sharon was a wonderful and loving wife and mother.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Michael; daughter, Shannon (Kirk) Lubick and their three children, Evan, Elia & Lillian; son, Justin and his two children, Jon and Cindy and her children, Leila and Tommy; and daughter, Stephanie (Paul) Townsend. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, brothers, Keith (Caroline) and Bruce (Kathy) Dangerfield, sisters, Valerie (Dave) Johnstone and Kathy (Elwin) Worobec; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday, December 18, from 5-7pm at Whitted Funeral Chapel Shelby. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 19, at 1pm at Lutheran Church of Sunburst.
