Shirley Ray (Denzer) Habets, 75, passed October 3, 2020.
Shirley was born in Great Falls on June 26, 1945, to Ray & Edith Denzer. Shirley grew up in Conrad and graduated from Conrad High School in 1963. After graduation she spent some time traveling and attended the College of Great Falls. She then returned to Conrad where she worked at the Keg Restaurant, owned by her brother. It was there where she met her husband, Ernie Habets. They were married in September of 1966. They purchased the farm from Ernie’s parents, Joe & Ceil, in 1973, where they farmed and ranched, and raised their son, Jeff. After many years of building the operation, Ernie and Shirley were successful in passing the ranch down to the next generation. Jeff and Lindsey took the reins in 2019, so Ernie and Shirley could enjoy retirement right where they wanted to - On the Ranch.
Shirley was a housewife and mother. She enjoyed flowers, decorating, collecting dolls and bears. She was also known as one of the best cooks around. She had a deep dedication to her family and always enjoyed the company of good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray & Edith Tronson Denzer, her brother Ron “Corky” Denzer, his wife Sandy, numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Ernie, son Jeff and his wife Lindsey, Grandson Hayden and Granddaughter Hadley. Niece Kristi (Chris) Brislawn of Santa Fe, NM; Nephew John (Lori) Denzer of North Carolina; Sister-in-law Sheila Fleming and Family, of Tulsa OK; Uncle Herb (Fern) Tronson of Great Falls, MT; and many cousins.
