Stuart Abbott

Grandville Stuart Abbott passed from this life on earth and entered into the presence of his heavenly Father on August 30, 2018 in Shelby, MT due to heart complications. Stuart had just turned 57. Stuart is survived by his wife Claire, his two sons, Gary and Alexander, and his daughter Abigale, all residing in Shelby, MT and his brothers Gene Abbott of Regent, ND and Jay Abbott of Duvall, WA.  Stuart was a loving father, a dedicated husband, and a committed son, brother, and friend.  He was good-natured and quick to smile, a strong and caring man who always wanted the best for others.

Stuart was born on August 17, 1961 in Lewistown, MT to his parents, Lois and Harry Abbott. Stuart married Claire Talent Abbott January 8, 1994 in Mt Bryan, South Australia.  Stuart and Claire have resided in Shelby, MT since 2001.  Stuart served honorably in the Lewistown branch of the Army National Guard.  Stuart was dedicated to his work whether working as a ranch hand, a school bus driver or as a correctional officer.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept 3 at 11am at Living Faith Baptist Church in Shelby.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Stuart’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Living Faith Baptist Church.
