Stuart E. Harwood, 56, a casino slot tech from Browning, passed away Wednesday at a Browning Hospital due to cancer. A wake is in progress at Old Eagle Shields where a rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Sunday. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday at the Holy Family Mission Church with burial to follow in the Mission Cemetery. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Peggy Harwood of Browning; sons, Adam Paul Harwood and Thomas Murillo both of Phoenix, Trini Murillo of Kalispell and Tzri Salois of Cut bank; sister, Harlean Gregg of Newport, OR; sisters-in law, Toni Gray, Dana Pemberton and Loyce Barcus all of Browning, Frances Kittson of Babb and Twila Lee of Cut Bank; brother-in-law, Jim Pemberton; father-in-law, Don Pemberton; as well as 15 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his patents.
Stuart was born December 26, 1955 at Cut Bank to Jeff D. and Selma (Peterson) Harwood and grew up in Milk River. He graduated from Browning High School in 1973, after which he attended automotive school in Billings.
Stuart had worked as a laborer, liquor store manager, a store clerk and, most recently, as a slot tech for the Glacier Peaks Casino.
He loved hot cars, his kids and grand kids.
