Ted was a ranch hand, farm hand, and broke horses for many years. He was in the Army during the Occupation of Japan as a Paratrooper. After the service he worked for Authur Reinholz. Her Catholic faith inspired Ted to build a Shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Poulsbo Catholic Church. Ted made what was called “The Living Rosary”. The Rosary was so large it had to be carried in a suitcase. They toured Europe and squared danced every chance they had. Catherine passed away in 2007. After the passing of their son, Fred, Ted and Ruth rekindled their love and remarried September 21, 2007 in Great Falls.
