Theron Robert Pellett, 78, of Cut Bank, Montana died of natural causes April 9, 2014 at Northern Rockies Medical Center. Theron "Bob" Pellett was born August 3, 1935 in Sweetgrass, Montana to Theron Raymond Pellett of Tolley, North Dakota and Laura Johanna Welch Pellett of Otto, Wyoming. The oldest of three sons, Bob attended school in Oilmont and Sunburst, Montana, where he graduated from high school in 1953. Bob married Inda Mae Kastner of Bozeman, Montana in 1956, graduated from Montana State University in June of 1957 with a B.S. in zoology.
The large majority of Bob's career was spent teaching high school science including physics and chemistry. He married Yvonne Campbell May 21, 1963 and settled permanently in Cut Bank, where he taught until his retirement in 1995.
Bob's passion was teaching young adults about the fabulous world that surrounded them. During summer breaks, he worked as a brick mason and carpenter. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling with the Cut Bank Snogoers. He served several years as president of the Montana Snowmobile Association and was also president of the Cut Bank Snogoers.
Bob was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard (twin to Russell), wife, Yvonne of 36 years, his father Theron in 1991 and his mother Laura in 2001 and an infant brother Richard. He is survived by his son Russell (Misty) Pellett of Henderson, NV; daughter Penne (Richard) Swenson of Cut Bank, MT; step daughter, Betty Sue David of Casper, WY; brother Bill (Barb) Pellett of Whitefish, MT and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be announced at a later date. Please send any memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association.
