Tom Banka

Tom G. Banka, 88, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in Great Falls.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 18, at 2pm at Hillside Cemetery.

Tom was born November 9, 1930 in Brady to Walter and Emily (Knorr) Banka.

He was raised on the family farm East of Brady and went on to farm there until retiring in 1990.  Tom graduated from Conrad High School in 1948 and married Joyce Meuli on October 15, 1949 in Conrad.  After retirement Tom and Joyce spent time in Mexico, Arizona, and traveled to many places in their motorhome.

Tom was a member of the Farmer’s Coop, Elk’s Club, Moose Lodge all in Conrad and the school boards in Strauss and Brady.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Joyce; children, Bob (Peggy) Banka of Denver, Deanne (Rick) Cotter of Silverdale, WA, and Karen Stanley of Ponchatoula, LA; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred and John and sister, Mildred Beckstrom.
