Walter Leon Richey

Walter Leon Richey, affectionately known as Loni, passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 62 in Shelby, Montana. Born on March 16, 1962, in Sacramento, California, Walter's cheerful and uplifting spirit touched all who knew him.

 Throughout his life, Walter was known for his personable nature and his ability to make friends easily. His caring attitude and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character. He was always optimistic, consistently finding the good in life and in people. For the last decade, Walter split his time between Conrad and Shelby, Montana, where his family resides.

 Walter is lovingly remembered by his siblings Nancy Wilson, Manuel Richey, Elizabeth Tavares, Susan Hammond, Daniel Richey, Larry Richey, and Laurie Putnam. He also leaves behind a cherished grandson, James.

 A celebration of Walter's life will be held at 915 Westwood Ave Shelby, MT 59474, on September 6, 2024 at 11:00 am. His joyful presence and unwavering positivity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
