Wanda Jean Shanks

Wanda Jean (Humrich) Shanks, age 56, died on June 12th, 2019 from a long battle of Cancer at the Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank, Montana.

Wanda was born on November 14th, 1962 in San Mateo, California to Max and Anna (Jacobs) Humrich. She met the love of her life Curtis Shanks, and married him on July 11th, 1979 in Cut Bank, Montana. Curtis and Wanda moved back to Montana from California in July of 1991.

Wanda loved Curtis, her children and grandchildren all of whom she would do anything for. She loved to ride horses, go fishing, camping and sew during her free time. She loved all sorts of animals, to include her cats, dogs, horses and chickens.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Shanks.

Survivors include her mother, Anna and Father Max, daughters Michele (Brian) Russell of Shelby, MT, Marie (Travis) Marsland of Minot, N.D. and Stephanie (Drew) Salois of Cut Bank, MT: grandchildren Trinity, Cody, Josh, Leah, Kathreen and Elezebeth; Siblings: Darryl Humrich, Judy Daly, and Joy Larsen all of California.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 22nd, 2019 at 11:00AM at the First Presbyterian Church for both Wanda and Curtis. Since this is a Celebration of life, please no black clothing, only something bright and cheerful.
